At Pukeko Preschool Claudelands, learning happens through meaningful play, exploration and guided discovery. Our curriculum is grounded in Te Whāriki, New Zealand’s early childhood curriculum, and is shaped by each child’s interests, strengths and natural curiosity.

Children are encouraged to explore, ask questions, problem-solve and express themselves in ways that feel natural to them. Our teachers thoughtfully extend learning through conversations, hands-on experiences and intentional teaching moments, supporting emotional, social, physical and cognitive development.

We focus on helping children grow into confident, capable learners who feel secure in themselves and connected to others. Learning is not rushed. Instead, children are given time, space and encouragement to develop at their own pace.

We maintain teacher-to-child ratios that meet or exceed Ministry of Education requirements, ensuring children receive attentive care, strong relationships and individual support.
