We strongly develop our curriculum based on following our children’s interests and urges and our philosophy is based around considering what kind of adults we want our children to become.
When you enter our Preschool through into our lovely outdoor play space you and your children will feel welcomed and part of our Pukeko family. We have separate, recently refurbished and upgraded indoor and outdoor playspace areas for over and under two year-olds, and are staffed well above Ministry of Education guidelines.

Kia Ora, Bula and Namaste. My name is Nikisha Kumar and I am a qualified Early Childhood Teacher currently working for Pukeko Preschool Manurewa. I had joined Pukeko family in 2019 and have then proceeded to finish my Bachelor of Teaching in 2020 from New Zealand Tertiary College.
I enjoy working with children and improving their quality of learning. I believe that it takes a village to raise a child and Pukeko Manurewa Team is no different in providing our tamariki opportunities to help them succeed as young citizens. I enjoy baking and doing artwork in my spare time.
